Zeroing out Before Use: For optimal precision, always clean the carbide measuring faces with a soft cloth and close the micrometer gently to ensure the LCD reads exactly 0.000 (or calibrate via the wrench if necessary) before starting your measurement session.

Use the Ratchet Stop: When clamping onto a workpiece, always rotate via the small end ratchet thimble/stop rather than the large sleeve. The ratchet limits the torque automatically, applying a uniform, consistent force to prevent over-tightening and distorted readings.
